In 2010 The Kansas/Western Missouri Division of The Salvation Army:

  • Met more than 1 million needs through various programs
  • Helped more than 340,000 people in need of assistance
  • Provided over 200,000 days of care for families, abused children and children in early learning centers
  • Served over 747,000 meals and snacks through our corps community centers, social service centers and emergency mass feeding units (includes ARC numbers)
  • Delivered over 44,000 meals to homebound individuals
  • Provided more than 120,000 nights of lodging at our facilities (includes ARC numbers)
  • Delivered more than 222,000 gifts and toys to those in need
  • Visited 3,102 prison offenders and provided toys to 4,238 children of incarcerated parents
  • Provided 2,000 adults and children with a low-cost or free camping experience
  • Made visits to nursing homes, visiting more than 31,000 residents and homebound individuals
  • More than 20,000 volunteers helped us accomplish our mission
  • Provided recreational opportunities for nearly 170,000 people in our community center programs
